Its not that my trip was boring or anything its just I'm not really in a "story-telling" mood. Oh and its not coz I emo, but its rather due to fatigue. Ok here's a funny story.
On Friday we left Melaka significantly later than planned. We were delayed an additional two hours due to the fact that we couldn't find a place to eat lunch. We went to several places but they were either closed or full or we last minute change mind.
We were in Bukit Beruang when we suddenly realised that we forgot to take something: We left the camera in the office! HORROR OF HORRORS! How to blog without camera??!! So we had to drive back all the way down town to get it, which further delayed us at least 40mins.
But here's the thing. We didn't even take a single photo in Singapore (I'll explain why later). LOL! Ok fine maybe its not THAT funny =(
So yea there are no beautiful photos in this post. Enjoy.
Anyway, I reached JB in 2 hours, and no I wasn't speeding. My father was sitting next to me so I was shackled at 120km/h max. I was picking my nose, cleaning my teeth and digging my ears while driving. After that, I started to doze off.
I really stand by my theory that cruising at slower speeds is more dangerous than speeding. Serious. One day I shall write a post to elaborate on it.
120km/h is over the limit anyway: If you wanna do something wrong, do it right. Go 180km/h. Just kidding. I think 140km/h is a very comfortable speed to drive in lo. I remember I could still SMS people at 150km/h. Wah I'm setting such a bad example. Nvm, that's what the radio is for:
"Drive safely and leave the racing to us. This is Valentino Rossi."
Listen to the 9-times World Champion!
So kids, make sure you listen to Mr. Valentino Rossi ok? (see I did my part for the community liao).
Later that night I went dating with Daryl. We were supposed to meet up in Newton, but due to misunderstandings, I was in the Newton Food Court (and there was a girl in a babydoll dress sitting infront of me :O ) while he was in the Newton MRT station.
We then proceeded to try meet up in Orchard Road. I told him to meet at Louis Vuitton. Ya we were naive enough to think that there was only 1 Louis Vuitton there. Long story short, it took quite a while for me to finally see his dog face.
Orchard Road was very nicely lit up and there were performances on the side of the road. I had a "welcome back to civilization" feeling. Didn't take any photo with Daryl due to my strict I-don't-take-photo-with-dudes-only policy.
Took me almost an hour to get back from Orchard Road to the condo in Hume Avenue, where there was no internet or TV. That was a straight smack in the face of my "welcome back to civilization" impression. With nothing else to do, I read newspaper until fall asleep. Serious. -__- But hey, at least I didn't STONE okay? Hehe.
Damn boring right without pics. I feel bored just writing this. So to ensure that you guys don't get dizzy with all the words, I decided to upload some pics of plant and greenery. Yo I have an environmental-friendly blog! Looking at greenery is good for the eyes too. Or at least I think so -___-
The next day was shopping-with-mum-and-sis day, or to be more exact, stand-and-wait-like-stupid-with-all-the-bags-and-waterbottles-while-mum-and-sis-shop day. I think thats pretty much self-explanatory.
We went to Queensway for a while before finally heading to Orchard Road. We covered a lot of ground and we had to run through the rain frequently as well. On the bright side, I sighted several more babydoll dresses =p
After a very exhausting day, we headed back to the condo only for us to discover that the electricity and water had been cut. Seriously, welcome back to civilization.....
YOUR HEAD!!!!!
We then had to crash at our client's condo unit. At least there was internet there, so I quickly checked the football scores.
Oh the joy.
At least ManU lost 0-3 to Fulham =p
Later in the middle of the night, while drinking water in the kitchen, some random girl just popped out from the back door and came in. I was stunned for a while coz I didn't know who she was.
It was kinda like those meet cute moments you see in the movies. Anyway it was only during the next morning that I found out she was our client's daughter and she worked as an air stewardess for SIA. But she just got married. Shucks.
Sorry no pics coz of my strict I-don't-take-pics-with-married-SIA-air-stewardesses policy. Aih who am I kidding. Its because the married-or-not-SIA-air-stewardess-will-never-take-pic-with-me-anyway law was in place =(
Time for more greenery.
The service started out with the lights off and the screen showing a video of some of the church's overseas associates wishing them a merry Christmas then suddenly BOOM! The orchestra and violinists started playing Explosive by Bond.
The performance was, for lack of a better word, explosive! Violinists <3 What a way to start your morning service. Every time I attend churches like this, I will always merajuk to God, "Yer why am I not positioned in a church like this."
Didn't take any photos coz every time I took out my camera a no-camera sign will pop up on the screen. But it didn't really matter as the worship session started very soon.
The best part of service was the message delivered by Pastor Joseph Prince. I definitely want to share what I learnt from the message but I shall save it for my Christmas post. Even my parents enjoyed the service and Pastor Prince's message.
Oh speaking about Christmas, I will be going up to Subang to attend Acts Church's Christmas service and their Christmas production: Esther.
I always like musicals and productions of this nature, and I will seize every opportunity to attend them.
Ok its getting late. See you guys, whenever.
P/S Who wanna watch Avatar with me?
